Letter of Authorization — Disclosure & Terms
Last updated: 7/8/2026
Plain-English breakdown of what you're signing, how your data is handled, and exactly what happens after you submit your ConFi Solutions application.
1. What a Letter of Authorization (LOA) is
A Letter of Authorization is a standard industry document that names ConFi Solutions as your authorized agent for the limited purpose of requesting your utility usage, tariff, and billing information from your electricity provider so we can analyze it and solicit competitive supply quotes on your behalf.
The LOA does not switch your provider, change your rate plan, enroll you in any contract, or authorize any charges. Any switch, contract, or enrollment always requires a separate written approval from you.
2. Exactly what you consent to when you sign
By checking the three acknowledgments and drawing your signature, you confirm:
- Signer authority — you are authorized to bind the legal entity named in the application.
- Historical usage release — you authorize your utility to release up to 24 months of usage, interval, and billing data to ConFi Solutions and its supplier partners.
- TCPA consent — you consent to be contacted by phone, SMS, and email about your rate analysis and quotes. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP or emailing info@confisolutions.com.
The LOA is effective for 24 months unless revoked in writing. To revoke, email us at the address above and we will terminate the authorization within 5 business days.
3. How your signature is captured (ESIGN / UETA)
The signature you draw is captured as an image and stored with a permanent audit record. Every completed application includes an Electronic Signature Certificate page in the downloadable PDF with:
- A unique envelope ID for the signing session
- UTC timestamp of the signature
- The signer's IP address and device user agent
- A SHA-256 cryptographic fingerprint of the signature image
- The consent method used
This record is compliant with the U.S. ESIGN Act (15 U.S.C. §7001) and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA), and satisfies the audit-trail requirements of major aggregation platforms (BOX Energy, Enerex, PowerKiosk) and licensed retail electricity suppliers.
4. What we do with your data
The information you provide — contact details, business information, uploaded electricity bills, and the signed LOA — is used only to:
- Retrieve historical usage and tariff data from your utility
- Prepare a rate and savings analysis for your account
- Solicit competitive supply quotes from vetted, licensed retail electricity suppliers on your behalf
- Communicate with you about your quotes and options
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with parties outside the quote-sourcing process. Uploaded bills and the signed LOA are stored in an access-controlled, encrypted-at-rest backend, and downloadable copies are protected by expiring signed links (30 days).
See our Privacy Policy for full details on storage, retention, and your rights.
5. What happens after you submit
- Instant confirmation. You receive an emailed confirmation and a downloadable copy of the signed application PDF (including the Electronic Signature Certificate).
- Team review — within 24 hours. A ConFi Solutions analyst reviews your submission, validates the uploaded bills, and pulls historical usage from your utility.
- Quote solicitation — 24 to 72 hours. We submit your LOA and usage profile to vetted licensed suppliers through aggregation platforms (BOX Energy, Enerex, PowerKiosk) to source competitive quotes.
- Savings analysis — within 48 hours of receiving quotes. We deliver a written analysis showing your current rate, the best available alternatives, projected savings, and any recommended rebates or programs.
- Your decision — no obligation. You decide whether to move forward. Any switch, contract signature, or enrollment requires a separate, explicit written approval from you.
6. Fees and compensation
There is no upfront cost to you. When we facilitate a supply contract, we are compensated by the supplier through a standard broker fee that is disclosed to you in writing before you sign anything with that supplier. Any commissions or referral compensation from third parties will be disclosed. You are never billed directly by ConFi Solutions for the analysis.
7. Revoking the LOA
You may revoke this authorization at any time by emailing info@confisolutions.com with the subject line "Revoke LOA" and your application ID or business name. We will terminate the authorization and notify any supplier partners in progress within 5 business days. Revocation does not affect quotes already delivered to you or actions you have separately authorized.
