Licensing & Compliance

Who we're licensed with, who we partner with, and what you're consenting to.

Energy brokerage and demand response are regulated at the state, federal, and ISO/RTO level. This page discloses ConFi Solutions' registrations, supplier partnerships, insurance, and the specific disclosures every commercial client receives before any contract is bound.

State broker & aggregator registrations

Retail electricity is regulated state-by-state. ConFi Solutions holds or is actively filing broker/aggregator registrations in every deregulated market we quote. "In progress" means an application is prepared or under review with the listed authority — we do not bind contracts in a state without valid registration.

Supplier & platform partnerships

ConFi Solutions is not a retail electricity provider. We shop rates through licensed Retail Electricity Providers (REPs) and regulated broker platforms. Every contract is issued, billed, and delivered by the licensed supplier — not by ConFi.

Required customer disclosures

1. ConFi Solutions is a broker, not a utility or supplier.

We do not generate, transmit, or bill for electricity. We source competitive supply offers from licensed Retail Electricity Providers. Your local utility continues to deliver power and respond to outages regardless of the supplier you choose.

2. How we're compensated.

ConFi Solutions is compensated by the retail supplier that wins your business, in the form of a per-kWh margin included in the quoted rate. You will not receive a separate invoice from ConFi. You may request the specific margin on your contract before signing.

3. Letter of Authorization (LOA) scope and revocation.

The LOA you sign authorizes ConFi Solutions and our designated supplier partners to (a) obtain your account information and up to 24 months of historical usage from your utility, and (b) solicit supply quotes on your behalf. It does not switch your supplier — a separate supply agreement is required for that. The LOA is effective for 24 months and is revocable at any time by writing compliance@confisolutions.com.

4. Electronic signature consent (ESIGN / UETA).

By signing electronically you consent to conduct this transaction by electronic means under the federal ESIGN Act and applicable state UETA. You have the right to receive a paper copy at no cost by emailing us, and the right to withdraw electronic consent by written notice. Standard modern browser and PDF-viewing software is required. Your signature is recorded with a timestamp, IP address, and user agent as a legally equivalent digital footprint.

5. TCPA contact consent.

You expressly authorize ConFi Solutions and our supplier partners to contact you by phone, SMS, and email at the numbers and address you provide — including via automated technology — for the purpose of quoting, enrolling, and servicing your energy account. Consent is not a condition of purchase and can be withdrawn by replying STOP to SMS or emailing unsubscribe@confisolutions.com.

6. No slamming, no cramming, no misleading savings claims.

We will never enroll you with a supplier without your separate written authorization on that supplier's contract. Any savings figure we quote is based on your actual historical usage and the current fixed offer from the winning supplier — not on projected market movement or hypothetical comparisons.

7. Data handling & third-party sharing.

Your account number, usage data, and uploaded bills are shared only with licensed suppliers participating in your quote for the sole purpose of producing that quote. We do not sell your data. Records are retained for the period required by your state's PUC (typically 3–7 years) and then destroyed.

8. Demand response program disclosure.

Demand response enrollments are transacted through a licensed Curtailment Service Provider (CSP) — Enel X, CPower, or Voltus depending on your ISO/RTO region. The CSP is the ISO market participant of record; ConFi Solutions acts as an origination and account-management partner. Program payments flow from the CSP to your business according to the terms of the CSP's participation agreement, which you will sign separately before enrollment.

9. Right to complain.

You may file a complaint about ConFi Solutions or any partner supplier with your state's Public Utility Commission at any time. Contact information for each PUC is available on our Compliance page or by emailing compliance@confisolutions.com.
